Taleen Kali- Crusher (Official Music Video)

As the director of Taleen Kali's "Crusher" music video, I had the pleasure of working with an incredible artist and team to bring this project to life. From the moment I heard the song, I knew I wanted to create a playful and psychedelic visual that would capture the dreamy and romantic essence of the track.

Working alongside Bailey Kobelin, who edited the video, and makeup artist Mary Kula, we were able to create a lighthearted and fun atmosphere on set, which allowed Taleen Kali, Royce Hsu, Miles Marsico, and Sean Barnes to fully embrace their roles and bring the narrative to life.

It was truly an honor to collaborate with such talented artists and be a part of this exciting project. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Taleen Kali and her team and can't wait to see your reaction to the music video. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

NITE

I loved taking photos with San Francisco metal band NITE.

Shana Cleveland's new solo album, "Manzanita"

2022 was a transformative year for me as I had the opportunity to collaborate with musician Shana Cleveland. I am thrilled to share that her new solo album, “Manzanita” will be released on March 10, 2023 on Hardly Art Records. It has been a pleasure to work with her and see our press photos come to life. I highly recommend giving Shana's music a listen, as it is truly exceptional.

Choir Boy

The Choir Boys played a sold out show at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and we once again had fun and took photos against a stormy sea. I love it when Choir Boy come to visit, they feel like family.

Decibel Magazine

It was such a joy reconnecting with my old friend in person after almost two years and creating images together, which is what we’ve always done and it felt so good. Thank you Chelsea Wolfe and Decibel Magazine for having me contribute to your January issue, I can’t wait to flip through the pages and see how the whole article turned out.

Interview with Focus on Women Photography Podcast

I was honored to be interviewed by Traci Terrick and Shelly Waldman for the Focus on Women Photography Podcast. You can listen to it here or wherever you listen to podcasts. I will admit I was nervous to listen to myself, but did and feel like it’s an accurate representation of who I am. They also had some kind words to say about me, “When it comes to capturing a person’s nature, she’s a magic-maker. Her energy is calm, kind and creative - you will find this episode like taking a deep breath and inhaling copious amounts of love.” Thank you Focus on Women, I’m happy to be a part of this community.

Robin Chiang & Co. Architecture Headshots

I had the pleasure of taking professional headshots of San Francisco architecture firm, Robin Chiang & Co. It was the first time everyone in the office had seen each other in person since the before times. There was still a 2020 calendar on someone’s desk, everyone was very kind and we managed to take both a studio and natural light portrait on their rooftop. Then we all ate a lunch that felt like Thanksgiving, since it was turkey, stuffing, and yams! Thank you Robin Chiang & Co, I enjoyed meeting all of you.

Author Portraits of Jane Perry: Writer, Ethnographer, Expert on Outdoor Play, Climate Protector

I had the pleasure of photographing Jane Perry deep in the Oakland redwoods for her book, White Snake Diary. 100% of the return on purchase price of White Snake Diary goes to Ohlone sovereignty through the urban, indigenous women-led Sogorea Te Land Trust. Best way to get the most money to them is to buy from Jane directly. Venmo her with your address @Jane-Perry-16 and you can find out more about Jane’s work at her website.

Shannon & The Clams

So happy that Shannon & the Clams announced their new album, "Year of the Spider" and first single, "Midnight Wine".

Back in March I was able to make art with them all in person one wonderful sunny afternoon. I remember asking Shannon what "Year of the Spider" was about and she essentially told me this, “I am terrified of spiders,” says Shannon Shaw. “My mom always told me that they’re drawn to me. Like, they would drop down and dangle in my face as a baby, or they’d get in my bed.” You can read more about this on their website.

This is one of a bunch of different set ups we made together that day, Shannon's brother Paddy was also a dream of a photo assistant and it felt so good just being around good people creating art just to create.

Thanks Shannon & the Clams, I'm honored we were able to work together and can't wait to hear the whole album. I also learned yesterday that Shannon watercolored the images of the band on the cover, what a multi talented human. You can read more of the story about this upcoming release and pre order the record from their website shannonandtheclams.com

Big thanks to Nick Fancher for always inspiring me too, this shoot happened when my brain was fresh off of watching his “Creative Portrait pt. 2” tutorial which can be found on his website nickfancher.com
